Michaela’s bridal session at the Parker Mill (back in April) was absolutely to die for! Be sure to check that out if you missed it.

For Bill & Michaela’s special day, The Parker Mill wedding venue was the perfect spot. It’s high up in the North Carolina mountains and we can’t wait to go back for more happy wedding days at this amazing place. The weather was calling for crazy rainstorms all weekend long but the power of prayer is REAL and Bill & Michaela didn’t even see a drop throughout their entire ceremony and reception.

Michaela shared a special first look moment with her sweet bridesmaids and then we hopped in a 4-wheel drive cart and headed for the highest peak of The Parker Mill venue. The sun was bright and Bill was standing alone, waiting for his bride to come surprise him. We were up so high in the sky that all you could see were miles and miles of mountains. The perfect stunning spot for a private first look between these two. The sweetest vows were exchanged and we held back tears from behind our cameras. These are the times we cherish our job so much and realize the importance of documenting these real, raw moments unfolding before us.

We snapped up as much gorgeousness as we could knowing how lucky we were to have the wonderful weather we were experiencing. Then we headed back down the mountain where the bride had a surprise gift waiting for her groom.

For their ceremony, they stood beneath a huge wooden cross, also overlooking the beautiful mountain skyline, while their guests watched from vintage wooden church pews. Before being pronounced husband & wife, and in true Bill & Michaela fashion, they made a unity sandwich to share during their ceremony.

These two had such a fun day with a big bridal party all wearing cowboy boots, Ciao Y’all food truck for all of their guests, and practically everything DIYed by Michaela herself! Our favorite project she did was the neon sign of their names which made the perfect “photo booth” backdrop for so many fun reception pictures.

Bill & Michaela, we feel so lucky to be the chosen witnesses for all of your special wedding moments. Thank you for sharing this amazing milestone with us. Love you both!

Mark & Kelly
