Meet Matt & Laura! These two decided to have The Farm - A Gathering Place Wedding Day. It was a gorgeous November, Sunday afternoon but the weather was pretty cold (around 40 degrees), with some super brisk wind chills that kept us all on our toes. Luckily, the sun decided to pop out to heat things up a bit which was very welcomed!
We grabbed the bride & groom and gathered them for their first look moment, in the "Chicken Chapel". This adorable spot looked like something you’d see in Ireland (where funny enough, these two actually got engaged)! It felt very fitting for their first moments together on their wedding day.
Not only that but, there were lots of horses on the venue’s property which was perfect for Laura since she is an avid horse lover and competitor. These two even chose to have donkeys (named Lizzie & Kate), serving champagne & drinks to all their guests during the cocktail hour. It was a really fun vibe to have all the animals so included in the day and they were absolutely Laura’s favorite wedding guests!
We loved this venue for all it’s stunning backdrops. For Matt & Laura’s one-on-one photos, we snuck out of the reception for a little roam up the street, to the best mountain views, at sunset. Guests enjoyed a delicious family style dinner. People gathered around fire pits and the heaters and enjoyed lots of drinks from the open bar and apple cider stations. Later on, a cart with ready-to-go smores were a perfect addition, to enjoy around the fire.
This day was magical for so many reasons but getting to witness these two dance on the outdoor terrace, surrounded by their loved ones was the cherry on top.
Matt & Laura, thank you for having us document your lovely day! You guys are awesome!!
XO,
Mark & Kelly
