Positano Italy Wedding | Josh & Felicity
Mark and I are thrilled to be sharing this gorgeous, intimate Positano Italy wedding that took place just a few short weeks ago. We connected with Josh & Felicity via the inter webs over a year ago and when they told us they were having a small destination wedding in Italy the following Summer, we were doing a happy dance behind our computer screen. Not only do we feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to travel to a beautiful country that we’ve never visited, but photographing Josh & Felicity’s love story and being a part of their special day will be a memory we cherish forever. We live to document stories like this. Josh & Felicity are a perfect pair in every way… Summing up the story of how these two met, said in one word: Serendipity. They were simply meant to be together and once they both realized it, they were inseparable.
There are a hundred things we adore about this beautiful wedding… Here are just a few:
The Venue:
Their wedding venue, the Villa San Giacomo, sat high up above the coastline of the Amalfi Coast and provided the perfect view from every balcony.
The City:
The backdrop of Positano, The Vertical City, left us speechless and every view of this place was better than the last. I loved that everywhere we looked we found gorgeous tiles and stunning flowers covering the floors, walls, and staircases. It was like something out of a fairytale!
The Ceremony:
Leading up to this Positano Italy wedding, 40 of the couple’s closest friends and family traveled to the city for the special occasion. We love that the couple kept things intimate by making their destination wedding into a fun trip for everyone involved. The ceremony took place in a small courtyard next to the villa and was surrounded by a sea of green. A funny moment was when the wedding rings were accidentally left back in the room and a groomsmen had to leave in the middle of the ceremony to find it! He was able to locate them and return quickly so the couple could continue the ceremony… Josh was then able to recite his vows “with THIS ring” leaving everyone laughing! One of our favorite parts of the day was when the guests threw white confetti on the couple after they were married… it was magical and classic!
The Reception:
If there’s one thing Italians do well, it’s food! Tray after tray of delicious Italian cuisine were prepared at Josh & Felicity’s reception. Seriously, we lost count of how many courses were served! The couple chose to have one long dinner table, keeping with the intimate theme of their day. The family-styled meal allowed everyone to be face-to-face and to share in the conversation and festivities. Everyone celebrated the bride & groom with lots of speeches, toasting, laughing and joyful tears.
The Style:
Josh wore a custom jacket by The Cloakroom and an Omega Seamaster watch (can you say 007?!). Felicity blew us away with her stunning needle & thread gown from Net-A-Porter and Louboutin heels! The greenery, florals, and candles were dreamy and beautiful. Soft acoustic cover music played in the background as everyone was glowing from the Italian wines. Josh & Felicity topped things off with a small, chilled bottle of limoncello (a famous drink in Southern Italy) as a favor for each one of their guests… a completely perfect touch to this Positano Italy wedding!
This day from beginning to end was completely unforgettable and romantic. Josh & Felicity – Thank you for letting us document your love story in beautiful Positano, Italy. We loved every minute!
