We traveled back to our favorite place in the world, for a Positano Italy Proposal! Nico contacted us, booked us, and planned a whole Europe trip so he could propose to his beautiful girlfriend, Erica.
We gotta say how much fun we had planning this with Nico. We’re so thankful he trusted us to help him pick a great spot on the beach of Positano. Of course, this place is beautiful and ALL the spots are wonderful however, Positano has it’s own set of challenges. Luckily, we have been privileged to be able to visit this place so many times now, (for multiple special wedding days and different photo sessions) that we know this city like the back of our hand!
Chatting with Nico multiple times on the phone and then finally getting to meet him and Erica in person was such a delight. These two are just the sweetest couple and so much fun to be around. They have a contagious energy, love for travel (like us!), and like to laugh as much as we do! It was an instant connection and our nervous energy of knowing the real reason we were there kept us on our toes. We navigated through the first half of the session, getting to know these two better and just enjoying the amazing scenery of Positano. Next it was time for the big moment. We casually wandered down to the beach, knowing and previously telling Nico that this would be the best spot with the least amount of people nearby. We love how confident and cool this guy is and honestly were so impressed with how calm and collected he was throughout the whole session. Finally, we signaled to each other that the time had come, the lighting was perfect and we had the beach to ourselves. Erica turned around to Nico down on one knee and he popped the question. She definitely said ‘yes,’ and we held back light tears behind our camera lenses as we realized we were holding our breaths.
This moment was magical. Plain & simple. Seeing these two get engaged in front of our eyes. Watching the vertical city stop for a moment in time. Being back here AGAIN and realizing again how unbelievably grateful we feel to get to do this for a living. Documenting people’s milestones and being apart of a special memory. It’s all we could ever ask for.
Nico & Erica, it was a joy to meet you and get to spend this amazing afternoon together. We couldn’t be happier for you both. Please call us as soon as you’re ready to have more amazing moments documented. You guys are awesome!
