After a long time away from blogging, it feels so good to be back with a gorgeous love story to share at this Moores Cove Falls Elopement! In fact, stay tuned for LOTS of unique love stories coming up on the blog, very soon.
We’re starting things back with one of our favorite weddings from last year, a beautiful day in October – David & Caitlin’s waterfall elopement! These two chose Moore’s Cove Falls for their special day and exchanged their vows on the rocks, right beneath the breathtaking falls. It was a killer spot and we couldn’t have pictured a more beautiful scene for this special couple!
We fell in love with David & Caitlin’s generous spirits and knew our personalities would suit their day well. We were completely honored by the number of times David & Caitlin told us that they trusted us and wanted our vision and artistic styles to guide their day.. and we were beyond happy to oblige! When a couple gives us that much creative freedom to truly document their day to the best of our ability, we know that we’re working with the right people. And David & Caitlin are two absolutely wonderful people!
We loved getting to know these two and getting to witness their love for one another. Another very special addition to this awesome day was their gorgeous dog, Phenix. He kept a close watch over his humans, and added a gentle, calming presence to every moment. We love that he sported a floral leash and his own bowtie for the special occasion.

With only a few close friends, family, and a canine in attendance, everyone got ready at the adorable 1900 Inn on Montford. The front porch was the perfect location for David to see Caitlin for the first time and he was stunned with joy. When it was time for the ceremony, everyone caravanned from the inn to the windy mountain streets that led to the falls. We pulled off on the side of the forest road and began the short hike to the waterfall. The group was laughing and joking the whole time and everyone was giddy with excitement.
We loved getting to join in with this fun group of people and felt so grateful to be in such good company. When we reached the spot, everyone climbed down to the rocks beneath the falls. And surrounded by God’s beautiful nature, these two said “I-Do” with vows exchanged in Spanish. It was super romantic!
We truly enjoyed every single moment from this day from start to finish. David & Caitlin – thank you for choosing us to document these beautiful moments, for being honest, vulnerable, and the sweetest people ever. So much love to you both.
