Goodness, we’ve been looking forward to blogging this Johnson Carriage House Wedding! You may remember Spencer & Alice from their magical Adventure Session in the Asheville mountains. We felt right away that it was written in the stars for us to work together and we couldn’t be more thrilled that we got to be a part of Spencer & Alice’s sweet love story.
For their October wedding, they chose Johnson Carriage House & Meadows for their venue. It’s a gorgeous property with horses and all the secret garden vibes you could ask for. We adore the separate getting ready spaces for the bridesmaids and groomsmen as well as all the nooks and crannies this place has to offer. Perfect for photo spots! The weather was the first real day of fall with cooler temps which felt amazing for Spencer & Alice’s outdoor ceremony, held in the garden. Spencer had the sweetest reaction to his bride coming down the aisle in her beautiful long sleeve gown.
We absolutely loved Spencer & Alice’s wonderful friends in their bridal party. They were all so sweet and enjoyed taking photos with us among a huge chess board out in the garden. We had a blast with all of them and appreciated this laid back group who trusted us completely.

Just before sunset, we snuck Spencer & Alice away for some private one-on-ones, away from their guests. We loved getting to explore deeper in the gardens and roamed all around the huge trees, and weeping willows. Because the grounds of this venue are so large, we took advantage of every last minute of daylight before returning to the reception celebration. The two partied the night away with all of their friends before getting sent off with sparklers. To top off the night, the newlyweds shared a slow dance in the back of Spencer’s truck. How sweet is that?!
