Getting to photograph a sweet couple on their special Greensboro Arboretum Elopement is already a huge honor but getting to photograph a dear friend tie the knot is the biggest compliment. We have known Jess for many many years and she was a longtime childhood friend of Kelly’s while growing up. When meeting her amazing fiancé, Kent, these two both expressed just wanting something simple for their wedding day.
Kent & Jess chose to have an intimate Greensboro Arboretum Elopement ceremony among the gardens with a few special family, friends, & their two (very excited!) pups in attendance. Getting to witness these two and photograph our friend with her new husband was a wonderful gift. It means the world to us when our own friends/family trust us with such special moments in their lives and we don’t take the privilege lightly.
It was a sunny Thursday morning and Kent arrived first to the gardens. We led him to a picturesque spot and waited for Jess to arrive. In true Jessica fashion, she was a few minutes late, but she looked stunning in her Rosa Clara dress and cinderella blue heels. She even made her beautiful floral bouquet (how awesome is that?!). We took her into the gardens where Kent was waiting patiently and they got to share their first look together.
They were ready to be married and very excited about their big honeymoon plans. But before the honeymoon (happening later this Summer), they first hopped down to Florida for a quick trip to Harry Potter World… These two have their priorities straight and we were jealous we wouldn’t be tagging along for all the fun!
