Founders Hall Wedding | Brandon & Tina
From the moment we met Brandon & Tina at Amelie’s in Noda, our favorite french cafe, we were completely smitten with them! Not only did we fall hard for their great sense of humors, they had sweet and genuine personalities to back it up. We felt connected to them from the start and it’s easy to see why they are beloved by so many. Individually, these two are absolutely delightful but together, they make a completely awesome pair!
They first met each other years ago working at Hollister Co. Although they didn’t date then, they re-connected at a mutual friend’s house years later and also went to the same college in Charleston. It’s without doubt that they were destined to be together since their paths continued to intertwine.
Considering it had just snowed the day before, Brandon & Tina’s January wedding day was gorgeous and sunny. We loved that Tina wore a vintage fur wrap over her beautiful New York Bridal dress and the weather was absolutely perfect for it!
Our favorite moment was getting to steal the happy couple away for their one-on-one pictures. We had managed to finish up family photos earlier than expected which allowed us to take some extra time for just the bride & groom. We are so thankful for extra time when we get it, since the wedding day goes by so fast and those photos are usually the favorites for our couples. Brandon & Tina were so much fun to photograph not only because they make a gorgeous couple, but because of the exciting energy they have. They are just that couple that everyone wants to be around so we feel so blessed to have gotten to spend their special day by their sides. We loved the beautiful courtyard behind St. Peter’s (where they had their ceremony) and we also loved roaming around some of the nearby Charlotte buildings that called our name. But our favorite part had to be driving to the top of a fun parking garage to snag some epic moments of these two. Brandon & Tina mentioned how they liked our signature “far away shots” and that’s always music to our ears. So we couldn’t send them off to their reception without taking advantage of the cool urban architecture around us.
When we got to the reception at Founders Hall, it was so fun walking around and checking out all of the fun details that Brandon & Tina incorporated. We especially loved the star map (we have one ourselves and we love it!) and the letter board with a funny message located at the bar. The giant gold balloon letters of their last name, the tall floral arrangements used as their centerpieces, and anyone who knows us knows our obsession with twinkle lights… we were simply diggin’ everything! The coolest part was watching Brandon & Tina make their entrance into the reception space via an escalator and also being able to get lots of birds eye view angles from above. What an awesome place to host a wedding! These two celebrated the night away and remained close to one another throughout the night. We adored watching them dance closely and steal moments for themselves where it felt like no one else existed but them.
We are so grateful to this couple for allowing us to be creative and giving us the time to make awesome art of their day!
Brandon & Tina, you guys are too cool! Thank you for choosing us document this incredible day and for trusting us throughout it all. We love you both!
XO,
Mark & Kelly
