For Ralph & Amber's special day, they chose to host a beautiful Charlotte backyard ceremony, then a Mariposa At The Mint Wedding Reception in Uptown Charlotte.
Ralph got ready in a hotel in Uptown while Amber used their spectacular home as her personal bridal suite. We love when couples use their home for large portions of their wedding days, it’s so special and everything in the photos is even more personal.
Amber’s lovely daughter, Alicia, helped her get ready and then her son, Tyler came in and helped her put her shoes on. Such sweet moments to see them all so excited for the day ahead.
Ralph arrived and shortly after, Amber joined him in the backyard for their special first look. They even buried bourbon in the ground and obviously, it worked! Not a drop of rain in sight. Which was so nice considering they already had plenty of rainy day moments for their fun adventure session, previously, at the Biltmore Estate.
Champagne was offered to guests upon their arrival and then everyone was led around the side of their home to the ceremony spot. The pathway was lined with mums to mark the gorgeous October afternoon. In the backyard, the arbor flower arches marked the perfect ceremony spot on the couples new deck. We love a well planned, simply chic, backyard wedding day!
They exchanged vows, as the sun perfectly set behind them. After some family photos, we ventured the city streets around the Mint Museum in Uptown for some last minute moments of daylight and celebrated these two becoming newlyweds.
Ralph & Amber spent the rest of their special night enjoying dinner, drinks, toasts, and dancing with their closest friends & family. It was perfect.
