White River Gardens Wedding | John-Mark & Jessica
Meet John-Mark & Jessica, one of the sweetest couple’s ever! We first ‘met’ them via FaceTime and instantly loved their beaming personalities and excitement for their future marriage. When they told us they’d be tying the knot at the Indianapolis Zoo, we knew it would be a fun wedding to document!
We had never traveled to Indiana before but with NC not being too far away, we made it a road trip! As soon as we got to the Indianapolis Zoo, we started the day with scouting all around for some cool spots. The weather was crazy leading up to the day of the wedding, with major thunderstorms and some of the heaviest rains we’ve ever seen. Luckily, the storms subsided and left John-Mark & Jessica with a beautiful sunny day.
The actual wedding ceremony took place in the most gorgeous spot within The White River Gardens, located right next to the zoo. It was so neat how the venue was laid out and it lended us the most beautiful backdrops for the wedding day. We loved roaming all over the gardens with John-Mark & Jessica and seeing where each turn led us. Besides all the gorgeous flowers, our favorite thing was all the whimsical animal statues sprinkled throughout the gardens. Their were frogs, ducks, turtles, and rabbits (to name a few) and they made such an adorable touch to all the lovely wedding details.
A favorite moment of the day for us, was when John-Mark got to see Jessica for the first time during their private First Look. We could tell that he was instantly calmer once he saw his bride and got to hold her in his arms. And we loved getting to witness these two together, so giddy and excited that their special day had finally arrived.
Another favorite moment was stealing the couple away into the butterfly conservatory for a few one-on-one photos. Although, the heat was pretty intense inside, it was magical being in the greenhouse and seeing where all the green plants and butterflies live. It was a unique opportunity and one we definitely wanted to take advantage of. Luckily, John-Mark & Jessica agreed! They were so trusting and up for anything…. even a little heat! We are so grateful for their adventurous spirits!
This place was such a perfect spot to say “I-Do,” and we couldn’t have asked for better people to allow us to capture them, for the day. We are so grateful that John-Mark & Jessica found us and that we got to be a part of the start of their marriage.
J&J, you two are awesome and we had a blast photographing you at such a cool place! You guys will have an amazing life together if you always continue to put God first. Congrats to you both, Mr. & Mrs. Pantages!
