THE STEWARTS CHRISTMAS 2019

Posted a couple days late this year, here’s our annual Stewart Christmas video!

It has been quite a whirlwind of a season and the day this was filmed in particular, was quite a stressful day in our home. We discovered our gas water heater broken, early that morning and it looked like there was no way to escape the really expensive repair. While we waited to figure out how and when we could go about fixing it (we were having trouble because it was the week of Thanksgiving), we decided to cheer ourselves up by decorating for Christmas earlier than planned.

This day was sort of a stressful blur, but we’re proud to say that not only did our water heater get fixed (after a few cold days with no warm water!) but that we fixed it ourselves! Thank goodness for best friends, willing to get their hands dirty in order to help us solve this issue. With their help, we hauled out the broken heater from our crawl space, went and purchased a new one (bye bye emergency savings money), and spent an entire afternoon and evening learning and reinstalling the new one. We feel so proud of ourselves for saving the money of having to hire someone to come out and do it for us and now we know a whole crap ton about gas water heaters for future reference. Go on, test us!!

Anyway, none of this is relevant to our Christmas video other than that’s what was going on “behind the scenes” of this particular day in November. We’re so grateful for a warm, cozy home that we love fixing up each day. Even the things we don’t plan on and certainly aren’t fun in the process. It’s all a learning curve and we feel so fortunate to have a beautiful home to keep up and take care of on a daily basis.

We hope someone out there enjoys our short little Christmas video! The yearly tradition lives on!!

Also, back in November, we hosted some fun Fall Mini Sessions for some of our absolute favorite past couples and their growing families.¬†After all our sessions were over, we took a few minutes for some self-timer photos of us among the pines. Here’s a couple we captured before the sun got away!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!

XO,
Mark & Kelly
