This past December, we had the pleasure of meeting Brad & Bennett! We were asked to photograph their special wedding day at the beautiful Providence Cotton Mill in Maiden, NC. This incredibly unique venue features a 130 year old building, with huge open arched windows, and 30 ft tall ceilings. The building is historic with old-world charm and allows the surrounding nature to take focus at every peek beyond the gorgeous patinated walls.
Brad & Bennett chose this essentially “outdoor” venue to host their Winter wedding and added warmth to their guests with heaters, hand-warmers, and blankets. And of course the best way to keep warm, lots of drinking and dancing! Other warm touches that we loved were the candles, twinkle lights, white and red poinsettias, and the huge Christmas tree that their families decorated with ornaments as they arrived.
The whole day was completely beautiful and actually, for December, quite comfortable. Bennett is the coolest, most laid back chick and we adore that she chose to go through most of the day as a barefoot bride. She finished the night up with tons of dancing in her cute white sneakers and kept a gorgeous fur wrap on for extra warmth. Our favorite bridal accessory was the boho flower crown she added. Her bridesmaids chose their own dresses in different shades of pale green. They also each made their own bouquet with added bits of evergreen.
Our favorite moment of the day was when they sang hymns during their ceremony. It was the coolest way to celebrate the beginning of their marriage and we adored getting to worship with this wonderful family from behind our camera lenses. We LOVE when couples take time to do what matters most to them. Absolutely amazing moment.
Lastly, we’re so grateful to this sweet couple for trusting us throughout their day. Stealing them away right before sunset was such a tender moment. These two have such sweet and silly sides and we were giddy watching them connect and play together for their first moments as husband and wife.
Brad & Bennett, may your beautiful love continue to grow and may you both always bring out those fun silly sides of one another. We think you two are awesome and can’t thank you enough for allowing us to capture this day fully. Best wishes to you both!!
