Max Patch Proposal | Peter & Jacquie
We were thrilled when Peter contacted us and told us his plans to surprise his girlfriend, Jacquie! He carefully mapped out a romantic weekend getaway to Asheville and a special proposal at the top of Max Patch mountain. That’s where we come in! We love adventurous couples and when Peter said he wanted to hike up a mountain to surprise Jacquie with a ring, we were so excited to be a part of it! We met at the top of Max Patch early in the morning on a beautiful Autumn day. It was pretty cold and windy but we immediately forgot all about that as soon as we saw the 360 degree mountain views, at the top of the mountain. Mark and I were beaming with excitement as we saw Peter & Jacquie make their way up the mountain. We knew what Peter looked like since we had already met him over FaceTime. We watched their faces as they soaked up the mountain views and felt the crisp autumn air. We could feel Peter’s nervous excitement from across the field. We pretended to take selfies on our phones as we carefully watched Peter hold Jacquie close and whisper in her ear. He was about to pop the question! Peter took a step back from Jacquie and knelt down to the ground. And with the prettiest mountain scenery behind them, we captured the sweetest moment of Jacquie say, “YES!”
We absolutely love photographing proposals and think every guy should hire someone to document that special moment in time. We adored being a part of Peter & Jacquie get engaged and loved having some time afterward to take some photos while they celebrated with joy. Peter – Thank you for allowing us to witness this special moment! We are so excited for you two and wish you all the happiness in the world!
Shortly after the session as we made our way down the mountain and back to our cars, Peter quickly realized that something was missing. His car keys! He had planned every last detail of this day, down to perfection and because he was so distracted by the anticipation of the proposal, he accidentally locked his keys in the trunk of the car! WHOOPS! Mark and I stayed by their sides as we all tested our ideas of how to break into Peter’s car. As you can imagine, it was super frustrating however, we got to see what sweet wonderful people these two are.. I mean, you can really tell what someone’s character is when they are put in an annoying situation like that… And Peter & Jacquie were still laughing and smiling through the whole frustrating ordeal. A few hours later we finally were able to break into the car. Thanks to a kind passerby who wouldn’t stop until it was accomplished! Mark and I reminded Peter & Jacquie that this could be the first of many trials that they may face as a newly engaged couple and we shared our newly engaged story with them. Shortly after Mark proposed to me, we got stuck in an elevator in NYC! Maybe it’s good luck to have a crazy event happen right after you get engaged, haha! At least we’ll both have a fun story to tell and all in all, the day was still simply wonderful!
Congrats to Peter & Jacquie!!!
