HOTEL MARINCANTO WEDDING | POSITANO, ITALY | ROB & BREE

Finally, it’s time to share this amazing, beautiful wedding day in Positano, Italy! Having traveled here before, for previous special wedding day moments, we knew the beauty and magic that awaited us. And once again, Positano blew us away!

Rob & Bree first tied the knot at their simplistic and lovely ceremony in NYC. Then, upon arriving to the Amalfi Coast, they hosted a completely unforgettable welcome party, on the Island of Capri. We were lucky enough to have photographed these two previous events and couldn’t wait to finally witness Rob & Bree share their dream wedding in Positano.

They chose to share their vows at the Hotel Marincanto, in the center of the vertical city. The rooftop was the perfect choice for their special ceremony, with Positano’s most iconic view as the backdrop. But first, the two shared a quiet moment together, with a first look. Bree wore a beautiful dress that was custom made out of her mother’s vintage night gown. She also paired it with a gold headpiece, heels, and clutch to complete her look. It was so lovely and suited her effortlessly chic style to a T. Rob chose a classic navy tux and these two looked amazing walking hand-in-hand through the hotel’s Italian alleyways.

After the ceremony and aperitif, all the wedding guests made their way down the steep stairs towards the Positano dock. Rob & Bree stayed back a bit so we could take advantage of the glowing sunset light and epic views from the beach. A favorite moment of ours was getting to see Rob & Bree grinning ear-to-ear as they walked through the sea of umbrellas to meet up with their guests. All eyes were on them as they made their way to the water taxis. People sitting at restaurants, cheered for them and shouted out “congratulations!”

We quickly hopped on a boat to whisk them away to their reception. And all their friends and family clapped and waved as they sailed off. There’s something about seeing Positano from a distance that is (to us) the coolest view. Being out on the sea and looking back at the colorful vistas is a beyond magical feeling. We loved getting to enjoy this moment with Rob & Bree, out on the water. It was so sweet watching them interact after just being married. We reveled in the surreal scenery and soaked up the final moments of daylight.

A few minutes later, tucked into the seaside cliffs, there was the Hotel Le Agavi. Rob & Bree chose Le Agavi for their reception spot to provide another amazing experience for their guests with a different view. We pulled right up to the hotel’s dock and captured a final frame of Rob & Bree at sunset. With the waves crashing against rocks behind them, Rob leaned in and kissed Bree on the forehead. Could their day have been more perfect? We think not!

As the last few guests arrived to the dock and saw the lit up venue in the distance, they knew they were in for a treat. The venue’s deck hangs out right next to the rocks so you feel like you’re dining over the ocean. Everyone toasted the happy couple and we loved learning more awesome things about each of them. It was so clear how much love and support these two have from both of their family and friends! The Italian food and drinks were perfect for the intimate atmosphere and afterward it was time for dessert and dancing! Rob & Bree shared their first dance to “La Vie En Rose” by Louis Armstrong. What an awesome way to end their amazing wedding day on the Amalfi Coast!

Rob & Bree, thank you for sharing these incredible moments with us and allowing us to document this exciting time in your lives. You two are so special and make each other complete. We wish you both all the happiness in the world!

XO,
Mark & Kelly
