Welcome to the coolest Grand Bohemian Hotel Wedding, EVER!!
Remember these two from their super fun adventure session at Camp North End? We were so psyched to get them back in front of our cameras for their special day. However, about a month out from their scheduled date in December, they decided (due to COVID-19) to postpone until the following year. Although they had to postpone their big plans, they didn’t want to wait that long to be married and begin their lives as a married couple. So they decided to go ahead and elope!
We’re so happy they emailed us to make sure we would be available the following year AND for their romantic elopement at the Grand Bohemian this December. It means the world to us that they wanted to ensure we could be there to document ALL the major moments unfolding in their lives.
Words can’t fully explain how much we enjoyed the art, decor, and overall vibes of this place. The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Uptown Charlotte is drool worthy with stylish whimsical art covering everywhere your eyes land. We were especially obsessed with all the floral wallpaper AND the huge floral art mural on the terrace of the hotel. We picked the wall mural for Adam & Emily’s tender first look and it was PERFECT.
Emily is one of the sweetest brides (EVER) and we loved seeing her reaction to meeting her groom on the hotel’s terrace. Adam was so ready to see his bride walking towards him. And they definitely both had plenty of happy tears to go around. Their love is so romantic and we feel lucky that they chose us to capture these special moments.
For their elopement, they chose to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the Grand Bohemian’s garden with eight lucky guests consisting of their amazing family. We adored meeting their family members and think they all have the most wonderful personalities. They were so supportive, sweet, and a complete dream to work with. We loved seeing their joyful faces as Adam & Emily were pronounced husband & wife!
After the ceremony, we spent some time wandering around this hip hotel and photographing the newlyweds beaming with joy. By the time we made our way back to the rooftop terrace, we were struck with gorgeous sunlight streaming through Emily’s veil. Overlooking the bustling city down below, the newlyweds sharing a moment of calm. Emily’s veil floating in the wind, Adam kissing her rosy lips. Our cameras quietly capturing every angle unfolding before us. These are the fleeting moments of a wedding day that can easily be forgotten. We’re so grateful for these two for allowing time for quiet within their scheduled day. Allowing time just for soaking in and time for “wow look at the city in this light.” These two could have easily left us off the guest list for a little elopement in the city. But we’re so delighted to have captured a small piece of their day. Now, these amazing little moments will never be forgotten.
Congratulations to these two and their lovely romantic, first day of marriage. We’re so excited to continue the celebration next year with all of their amazing friends. We wouldn’t miss it for the world!
Adam & Emily, THANK YOU for having us document this special day, and for making our last wedding of the year so wonderful! You guys are the sweetest and we feel so honored to know you both. Looking forward to sharing more memories in 2021!!
