Despite a global pandemic, Daniel & Laura decided to “celebrate now and party later!” Their day was simple and awesome. They said “I-Do,” courthouse elopement style. Luckily despite the Covid-19 restrictions, their parents were allowed to come in and witness the ceremony. While friends of the couple got to tune in via Facebook live. The Coronavirus couldn’t stop these two from starting their forever together!
Daniel & Laura’s day was sweet. After their morning ceremony elopement, they headed home for a backyard afterparty with champagne and cupcakes. The beautiful Spring day was sunny and the weather was perfect. Their home was stylish and lovely. We adored the huge chalkboard wall with their weekly calendar of memos and to-do’s. With “get married, celebrate cinco de Mayo (online game night), and honeymoon staycation” at the forefront of the list. And of course we loved the scripture message posted at the top of the wall.. such a personal touch to their home.
Laura loves to cook and prepared all the delicious food from charcuterie boards to cupcakes. While Daniel popped the champagne and prepared the zoom FaceTime call for friends and family to join in.
In order to match her wedding dress, Laura made her face mask herself. But it was hilarious when she stepped outside with a Chewbacca face mask on instead. Daniel’s reaction was priceless.
The two clinked champagne glasses while their “virtual guests” toasted them via video chat. It was the perfect (and safest) way to celebrate during these crazy times. So excited for these two to get to celebrate their love again next May with even more friends and family there to bask in the fun festivities.
Daniel & Laura, thanks for letting us witness your fun elopement! Excited for you both to get to continue celebrating your love and marriage!!
