We met up with Kevin & Emily in person to chat about their engagement and upcoming wedding day. We love getting to sit down with our couples to get to know them better even if it can’t always be in person. It’s always a fun time and we are complete suckers for a good proposal story!
Kevin & Emily shared their AWESOME proposal story with us and how Kevin planned every detail. He started the evening off by taking her to see The Nutcracker and then they ended up at one of their favorite spots in Uptown Charlotte for him to surprise Emily and officially pop the question. Even though Emily said she sort of knew that the proposal was coming, Kevin was still able to completely surprise her!
We love how these two are different and also how they balance each other so well. We can tell how much they adore and love one another even though they both love to pick on each other (and it’s hilarious!). We loved getting to know them more, surrounded by mountains at the gorgeous Black Balsam Knob. Surprisingly, it was our first time visiting this beautiful mountaintop although we’ve known about it for years. We were so pumped to finally get a shot at this super cool location and loved that Kevin & Emily had never been there before either. It made the trip super fun to explore all together for the first time. And Griff (their adorable pup) was completely in his element, leading us all over the mountain, snoot first.
This place was unbelievable and we were in awe over the 360 degree views. We wasted no time throwing these guys in head first and getting all the epic shots we could imagine. Places like this are so inspiring and totally worth some hiking here and there. We had tons of laughs with these two and loved that they trusted us to capture them in this beautiful place. They have a while before their big day, next year, but we’re so excited to have already had these guys in front of our lenses! We can’t wait for more!
Kevin & Emily, you guys are hilarious and we can’t wait to capture more amazing moments with you both!
